Privacy Policy
The short version: CK Monitor has no accounts, no analytics, no ads, and no trackers. We don't sell or share your data. The only information that ever leaves your device is what's strictly required to fetch your public mining stats and deliver push notifications you opt into.
1. Who we are
CK Monitor ("the app", "we", "us") is an independent iOS application that displays public solo-mining statistics from CKPool and sends optional push notifications. The app is not affiliated with CKPool, BitAxe, or NerdMiner.
2. Information the app handles
- Bitcoin payout addresses you add. These are stored locally on your device and sent to public mining-pool APIs (and to our notification server) solely to look up the corresponding public mining statistics. A payout address is public blockchain information; we never ask for private keys, seed phrases, or wallet access — and the app could not function with them.
- Push notification token. If you enable notifications, Apple issues an anonymous device token. We store this token alongside the addresses you are tracking so our server can send you alerts (e.g. a block being found or a worker going offline). The token does not identify you personally.
- Notification preferences. Your quiet-hours window, alert toggles, and worker labels are stored to deliver notifications the way you configured them.
3. What we do NOT collect
- No name, email, phone number, or account — there is no sign-up.
- No analytics, advertising identifiers, or third-party trackers.
- No location data.
- No private keys or wallet credentials.
4. How information is used
The data described in Section 2 is used for one purpose only: to display your mining statistics and to deliver the push notifications you have explicitly enabled. We do not use it for advertising, profiling, or any secondary purpose, and we never sell it.
5. Third-party services
To function, the app communicates with:
- Public mining-pool APIs (CKPool solo endpoints) — to retrieve your public mining statistics.
- Apple Push Notification service (APNs) — to deliver notifications, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Our notification server — which stores only your push token, the addresses you track, and your notification preferences, in order to send alerts.
6. Data retention
Addresses and preferences live on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app. On our notification server, your push token and tracked addresses are retained only while your device remains registered for notifications; records for inactive devices are automatically purged. Disabling notifications or removing all miners stops the app from sending your data to the server.
7. Your choices
- You can decline or revoke notification permission at any time in iOS Settings.
- Removing a miner, or uninstalling the app, deletes the associated data from your device.
- You can contact us to request deletion of any server-side notification record (see below).
8. Children
CK Monitor is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change and the new version will be posted on this page.
